How did you first learn about social
networking online?
Well, it was about six years ago. One night I decided to
go over to a good friend of mines house whom I had not seen in a
long time. We are chit chatting, just catching up with each other
when he goes to the computer, and logs into his Myspace account.
I was pretty surprised at how far and easy it had become to network
online. It was so much more personal in my opinion, than just e-mailing
or just instant messaging to meet new people. Well, it was all pretty
new to me at the time, but I got set up with an account after that,
and have been using it ever since. I have a Myspace and Facebook
accounts, but I mainly us the Myspace. I find there, I have gotten
in contact with all the right people. Everyone I have met has just
been a complete pleasure and honor to be around.
Do you watch any webisodes (online
tv series) regularly?
Yes, I do actually. If I hear that I should catch a particular episode
of 30 Rock or The Office then I will watch them. There is one that
I watch regularly, Heroes. I am a huge fan of that show and the
whole mythos that it represents. Super-humans living among us, what
an wondrous stage in evolution that would truly be. To me, it is
a show about the possibilities and potentials that dwell within
each and everyone of us. It is our destiny to become better than
we are. A philosophy that not only I hold true, but I think that
we all agree, we always feel the need to improve. Mentally, physically,
emotionally, spiritually, ect. It is by far my favorite television
show of all time, and filled with such a spectacular cast of actors.
Now that the new season has started up again, anytime I miss an
episode I will have to catch a webisode of it.
Do you tend to watch videos online more
than television offline? No,
I would say that I watch a little more on television. It is really
50/50 though. I leave the television on Comedy Central, The Discovery
Channel, and The History Channel, and unless it is something that
really catches my attention. It just becomes background noise, so
I don't really "watch" it. When I am watching videos or
webisode online then I am really "watching" it, and paying
attention to every detail. That is the amazing thing about watching
them online. For those of us who don't have a DVR, it gives us a
chance to keep up with the shows that we want to keep talking about.
