How long have you been using the internet to sell your books?

Basically as long as I have been producing finished material that I felt ready to put out there. I began with screenplays and sending out query letters to producers via email back in the 1990's.

Has being on YouTube helped bring new customers / fans?

It has. I joined YouTube in July 2006, and having a strong interest in film and cinematography, I was horrified at the technical quality of the videos. So instead I began using a site called LiveVideo in November 2006. I did a reading video from All About Amy and people seemed to respond to it. LiveVideo changed their format to Livechat, so I began to re-focus on YouTube, again and thank god the technical quality of the site has dramatically improved.

What do you use to create your online vidoes?

Since December 2006 I have been shooting on a Panasonic DVX100B in 24FPS mode. It is a camera that beautifully mimics the look of saturated 16mm film. If I am mobile, I use an old Sony mini-divi handy cam, a DS9 from 2001. Yeah, I have a thing for cameras.
