<p><strong>Steve Cardenas: </strong>When this kid off the street named Mike Ortiz, a blue belt under Rickson Gracie now a black belt, came into my 1st dojo I ever ran and basically challenged me. I</p>
<div id="attachment_525" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 249px"><img class="size-full wp-image-525 " title="hbjj" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/hbjj.jpg" alt="" width="239" height="237" /><p class="wp-caption-text">SPF and Steve.</p></div>
<p>accepted and in 10 seconds he had me on the ground in a choke hold gagging and tapping! I knew right then my game had to evolve. The closest academy to me was Jean Jaques Machado, so I immediately signed up.</p>
<p><strong>Wendy: When did you start training with Sean Patrick Flanery at <a href="http://www.hollywoodbjj.com">Hollywood Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu</a>?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Steve Cardenas: </strong>I started training with SPF in March of 2008. I hadn&#8217;t trained in 8 years at that point and was very rusty. But everyone was very cool and immediately accepted me into the circle so I liked that about HBJJ.</p>
<p><strong>Wendy: I was curious then&#8230; who found out about the other&#8217;s acting career first? Did you know about Sean&#8217;s or did he know about yours when you met?</strong></p>
<div id="attachment_526" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 249px"><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/yoga.jpg" rel="lightbox[523]"><img class="size-full wp-image-526" title="yoga" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/yoga.jpg" alt="" width="239" height="250" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Michelle</p></div>
<p><strong>Steve Cardenas: </strong>Well I didn&#8217;t know he ran a Jiu Jitsu academy. I only recognized him after I signed up. Then I told him about what I had done and he found that very entertaining. Haha</p>
<p><strong>Wendy: I understand you are still training under Sean, so what made you want to open up your own academy?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Steve Cardenas: </strong>Well, I always wanted to teach again and had been doing so at HBJJ. Michelle brought her kids to my class and saw how much it helped their confidence and discipline. She had encouraged me to open my own place and offered to help get it started so she could teach yoga as well. We both agreed that the two compliment each other. So I asked Sean if he would be okay with an HBJJ expansion and he was all for it!</p>
<p><strong>Wendy: </strong>That&#8217;s awesome! Expanding HBJJ and the knowledge.</p>

After a tragic accident left him an amputee, Kurt endured a year long recovery and turned his attention to his first passion; acting. He has starred in such films as Knife Fight with Rob Lowe, Flowers with Christina Ricci and Tom Berenger , the Syfy feature Piranhaconda with Michael Madsen and the recent #1 movie Dolphin Tale with Ashley Judd, Harry Connick Jr. and Morgan Freeman.</p>
<p>Kurt has also made a return to BMX and is currently the number one Adaptive BMXer in the world.</p>
<p>Kurt is also involved in numerous charities and organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and sits as Chairperson on the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) Los Angeles Local Performers with Disabilities Committee.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s an interview with Kurt about his latest projects and more&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: You have several movies in post-production now, and they all range in genre, is there a certain type of genre that you prefer?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Kurt_Ystandingjennyshotb.jpg" rel="lightbox[518]"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-520" title="Kurt_Ystandingjennyshotb" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Kurt_Ystandingjennyshotb.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="450" /></a><strong>Kurt:</strong> You know, I don’t really have a preference. I’m game as long as it’s an interesting story, a good script and people I’d like to work with. I do have a lot of fun on creature features and comedy projects because you get to act like a fool and are encouraged to go even further.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: One of your movies in post-production is <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1886644/" target="_blank">Piranhaconda</a>, what was that like to make, I assume there was a great deal of special effects involved?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> That project was an amazingly unique experience. We filmed in Hawaii when the Japanese Tsunami hit, had to shut down production and get to high ground. When that was all finished we were off schedule, tired from sleeping in the parking lot of an evacuation center and the chaos of the island trying to find normalcy stunted filming. A day later, a van with several members of the crew was in a freak accident when the brakes didn’t work and flipped over nearly going off a cliff. And to top it all off I drank whiskey all day and night with Michael Madsen. I guess the word “unique” is an understatement.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: Out of all the movies that you have done recently, what was your favorite to work on and why?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1564349/" target="_blank">Dolphin Tale,</a> hands down. The film is so inspiring, so good natured and based upon the true story of Winter, the dolphin who lost her tail in a crab trap line. I’ve been to several screenings of the film, doing the press rounds, and I cry every time. I see this adorable little girl who’s missing a leg in a wheelchair say a line “look mommy, she’s (Winter) just like me”. It’s heart wrenching and overwhelmingly inspiring. A must see.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: What is your favorite part of being an actor? Least favorite?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> My favorite part of being an actor is a little different for me than most people, I think. I grew up in a rougher part of where I’m from, one of the few white kids in school. I learned to grow up fast, drugs were available and fights were normal life. I wasn’t allowed to have a significant relationship with the emotional side of myself and acting has bridged that gap. It has allowed a safe environment for me to explore that hidden, tucked away self.</p>
<p>The least favorite has to be the depression that follows when I’m done filming. You’ve made friends on the set that you may never see again. You leave the enjoyment of being needed behind and re-enter normal life. Sometimes you just miss having fun and acting like a goof with great people. It’s what drives me to get more work.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: If you could work with one actor/actress/director living or dead, who would it be and why?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> Daniel Day Lewis – because he seems like he could give a shit about all of the superficial musings of this technological age. He just performs and leaves the rest to the rest of us.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: What are your thoughts on shows like &#8220;Glee&#8221;? Glee has been slammed in the past for hiring an actor to play a teenager who is handicapped but at the same time they also employ an actress with Down Syndrome?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> Glee didn’t do anything wrong by hiring an able bodied person to play a disabled character, as long as they auditioned disabled actors who fit the character descriptions, which I’ve been assured by the casting director they did and I believe him. Every show should always hire the best actor for the role, no matter what.</p>
<p>Before I get to the problem let me first be very clear, it sickens and enrages me to see the hypocrisy of many in Hollywood. Many do not practice what they preach. The problem is this – you have a role for a 45 year old, salty haired man with a low raspy voice, and he’s going to play a judge in a courtroom. Casting will not see a person in a wheelchair for the role because that’s not in the character description. Since when is a wheelchair a character trait, it’s not, it’s a mode of transportation. And since when is it considered that a wheelchair user can’t be a judge? And yet they won’t even give the actor, who uses a wheelchair the opportunity to get gainful employment. They write him/her off before the actor even gets a shot and by the way it’s against the law, yet no one fights it because everyone is afraid to loose work over fighting for the rights of the most innocent. Money triumphs morality in Hollywood and don’t let anyone tell you any different.</p>
<p>I do, however, want to defend casting directors. I’m not knocking them specifically. They get work like an actor. They’re hired by a production company or studio/network to cast their projects. If they bring in people that aren’t exactly what those entities asked for, well, they will be fired and replaced by someone who will. So it’s not casting director’s fault exclusively, but it’s the system that lets the most underrepresented group in America go unnoticed, while crushing the dreams of hundreds of disabled actors.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: You&#8217;ve worked with several organizations/charities regarding actors with disabilities, do you feel Hollywood has changed at all in regards to their attitude towards those with disabilities?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> Nope. But I’m going to do my damndest to change it.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: What is one change you would like to see?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> Actors with disabilities getting a fair shot at auditions to play able bodied characters. Of course outside of a role that requires a certain amount of physical prowess. Something like a firefighter carrying two people on his back down a flight of stairs, you know. I understand that.</p>
<p>I’m not for equal outcome, I think those policies hurt more than they help but I am for equal opportunities.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/KurtSFArticle.jpg" rel="lightbox[518]"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-521" title="KurtSFArticle" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/KurtSFArticle.jpg" alt="" width="218" height="320" /></a>Mandy: Prior to your accident you were a BMX rider, I know you have said acting is your passion but do you still ride?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> Yup. I still ride; still do back flips over jumps, even with one leg. I was in the last two years of X-Games. In fact, I have a new video coming out of me riding for the ESPN web page. It’s going to be very exciting and there are some pretty rough crashes in it where I took some major hits. Nearly broke my legs in one. But, whatever, you know, it’s worth it.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: What would be your dream role be?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> A nice long series regular on a hit show where I get to play a rough and tumble guy who’s discovering life’s peaks and valleys while sending a good message to people in TV land which would be – honorable, say what you mean and mean what you say, and be generous because you can’t take it with you.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: Tell me about the films you have coming out and the one at Cannes.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> The one that just came out is Dolphin Tale. It’s an amazing film about the true story of a dolphin named Winter who was rescued on a beach after being entangled in a crab trap. The little girl was nursed back to health but had to have her tail removed because it was too damaged. Winter really plays herself in the film and she is an amazing little girl!</p>
<p>The one that played at Cannes, which will be coming out soon, is called War Flowers with Christina Ricci, Jason Gedrick and Tom Berenger. It’s a story about the struggles of a woman dealing with the ravages of the civil war while trying to take care of her daughter and keep her out of harms way from corrupt people who try to take what they can.</p>
<p>Mandy: You recently did a big celebrity event for Cerebral Palsy in New York and spoke with Ivanka Trump, the President of Chile, Robin Givens and more. How did you get involved in the event? What were the highlights for you?</p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> I can’t say enough good things about James Grant and his PR firm. Those guys who organized this event made it such a great experience for everyone. The event was a hit and the highlight for me was standing on stage talking candidly to seven hundred or so of some of the most powerful people in New York. Sort of gave me a thrill to have them all listen to me.</p>
<p><strong>Mandy: You inspire many people&#8230; who is it that inspires you?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kurt:</strong> I know this sounds cheesy and I don’t care. My father is my hero. If I can be half the man he is, I’ll be doing pretty good.</p>

He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Medical Technology/Biomedical, <img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Drew.jpg" alt="" title="Drew" width="250" height="317" class="alignright size-full wp-image-494" />a Master of Science degree in Immunology / Medical Biology, and a Post Masters Certification in Science Education. He&#8217;s just released his 3rd book in a Dragon series, so I figured it was time to share more about Drew and his books&#8230; </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy</a>: This is your 3rd book in the Dragon book series, right? Is there going to be more?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/drew_henriksen.php" target=_blank>Drew Henriksen</a> </strong>: I did write a graphic novel about some of the characters, but my illustrator couldn&#8217;t do it and I couldn&#8217;t stir interest from another publisher to print the book with all those illustrations. I would like to write more novels about some of the ancillary characters. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy</a>: How long did it take you to write Dragons and Science?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/drew_henriksen.php" target=_blank>Drew Henriksen</a> </strong>: It took me five years to write the whole trilogy. Dragons &#038; Science took about a year and a half.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Drew-DSCoverb.jpg" alt="" title="Drew-DSCoverb" width="250" height="327" class="alignright size-full wp-image-495" /><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy</a>: Was it hard to get your books listed on Amazon? What other outlets carry your book?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/drew_henriksen.php" target=_blank>Drew Henriksen</a> </strong>: The publisher, Robert Gelinas of <a href="http://www.ArcheBooks.com" target=_blank>ArcheBooks</a> , got them to Amazon immediately. Other sites that I never heard of jump on the band wagon too. If you Google them, they will pop up all over the place. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy</a>: You mentioned there is interest in your screenplays by Brad Thornton’s Hopewood Films. Are the screenplays based on the Dragon books? Or are the screenplays stories different?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/drew_henriksen.php" target=_blank>Drew Henriksen</a> </strong>: I wrote screenplays for the first two books, but Brad Thornton&#8217;s <a href="http://www.HopeWoodFilms.com" target=_blank>HopeWood Films</a> is looking to film other screenplays I wrote. The Easiest Day Was Yesterday, Saint Dementia, and The Waiting Game are they three of them. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy</a>: What is the biggest difference in writing books compared to screenplays? Do you use any of the same <img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Drew-DTS3-Titleb.jpg" alt="" title="Drew-DTS3-Titleb" width="250" height="362" class="alignright size-full wp-image-496" />methods for each?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/drew_henriksen.php" target=_blank>Drew Henriksen</a> </strong>: It is a very different way of writing. Screenwriting is a physical setting. You project the movie in your head and then describe what you see. Books are more fun, you can describe exactly what is going on in someone&#8217;s head in anyway you want. Scripts, you need to show it in any action. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy</a>: Any idea when we can expect the first film? </strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/drew_henriksen.php" target=_blank>Drew Henriksen</a> </strong>: I don&#8217;t know if the first book, Dragons &#038; Wolves, will ever get filmed. It would be a pretty big budget. Brad wants to start filming Easiest Day in August. Keeping my fingers crossed. I get to play a henchman in that one!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy</a>: Good luck and have fun with it! Thanks for doing the interview. : ) </p>

He has appeared on the Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Playboy Radio and E! News. Trey also appeared in &#8220;Leatherheads&#8221; directed by George Clooney, among other exciting roles. This interview by <a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a> allows Trey to talk about some of his latest projects&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore3b.jpg" rel="lightbox[476]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore3b.jpg" alt="" title="trey-moore3b" width="340" height="511" class="alignright size-full wp-image-478" /></a><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: Have you always wanted to be in the entertainment business?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: I haven’t actually! It has always been something I have been interested in yes, however, I went to school for Law and a minor in Philosophy! I believe that I got the entrepreneurial gene from my dad so I have always had my hand in all type of business ventures.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: How do you choose, which roles you take? Is there something that you look for when picking a role?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: I look for something that challenges me as a person. I think that if I picked roles that were &#8220;like myself&#8221; in a sense, that I would easily get bored with what I do. I act because it allows me to become something new everyday, which is what I love.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: If you could work with any one actor/director who would it be?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: I would love to be able to work with David Fincher as a director. I think the guy exudes genius.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What has been your most challenging role to date and why?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore4b.jpg" rel="lightbox[476]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore4b.jpg" alt="" title="trey-moore4b" width="340" height="501" class="alignright size-full wp-image-479" /></a><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: I think that to date, the most challenging role I have taken on was Tim in Captive. Tim forced me to think, act, and move like a schizophrenic which required a great deal of research and knowledge on the disease.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What is your favorite movie of all time?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: Easy one…Forrest Gump.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You&#8217;ve written a book, called &#8220;Power Lines in the Rain&#8221;, what is that about? Also has it been released yet and where can you purchase it?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: Power Lines in the Rain is love story with philosophical twists. It is a fiction that delves into the life of Kevin Pryor, a 20 year old guy that thinks he has his life all together when an unfortunate turn in his love life leaves him without hope. Much to his chagrin, an elderly blind lady, a homeless girl, and a girl that is just as mysterious as he is, all find their way into his life and help him form new philosophies on life, love, growth, and perspective. It hits the shelves at the end of June and is a national release so you will be able to pick it up at any bookstore or online retailer of books. We also are offering a pre-order through my website and the first shipment of pre-ordered books will be signed.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore-1b.jpg" rel="lightbox[476]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore-1b.jpg" alt="" title="trey-moore-1b" width="340" height="298" class="alignright size-full wp-image-480" /></a><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What made you decide to write a book?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: I have always fancied myself a &#8220;hobby writer&#8221; however it wasn’t until about a year and a half ago that I was on set of a film I was shooting at the time when I randomly starting coming up with this idea for Power Lines in the Rain. It started as a short story and grew increasingly complex as I dove deeper into the lives of the characters. Before I knew it, I had a 260 page novel on my hands.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: Any plans to write some more in the future?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: Indeed I do! I already have began the early stages of my second and third novels.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore5b.jpg" rel="lightbox[476]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/trey-moore5b.jpg" alt="" title="trey-moore5b" width="340" height="511" class="alignright size-full wp-image-481" /></a><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You&#8217;ve done everything from modeling, to acting to writing, which do you enjoy most?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: Acting is hands down where my heart is. There is some sort of transcendent beauty that I see in movie scripts that makes me comfortable in life. I would say that my writing runs a close second to acting. Being able to mold fictional characters into believable entities somehow makes me feel a sense of power that is emotionally and spiritually overwhelming, in a good way.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: Is there anything that you haven&#8217;t done yet, that you would like to accomplish?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: My list of things I want to accomplish in life will never be complete! I think that as humans, we have to always have a goal in mind in order to make the most of our time here. One of my most recently added goals is that of wanting to see one of my novels be made into a feature film someday!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You also do a lot of charity work, what are some of the charities that you work with?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/trey_moore.php" target="_blank">Trey Moore</a>: I’m glad you brought this up! I feel like so many times things like this are overlooked. Since being in Los Angeles, I have taken it upon myself to help feed the homeless. It literally breaks my heart to see someone that is hungry (regardless to how they got there…I mean c’mon…we all screw up sometimes). I found myself “adopting” several victims of poverty in the past 6 months or so. I take them dinner nightly and try to ask them a few questions about their lives, just to let them know that someone out there cares. With each of them I find out their birthday so that I can bring them a gift as well as try to Google them and possibly find some family connections. There was one fellow, Wendell was his name, his birthday was on February 25th and he said he wanted a watch. I got him a waterproof digital watch and I watched him cry as I gave it to him. It truly broke my heart and could put a lump in the throat of even the toughest guy! Moral of that story is &#8220;don’t judge…feed a homeless victim&#8221; (However my disclaimer is to be smart about it…there are some people out there that just want to be left alone and can be rude or violent. Bring a friend!)</p>
<p><em>Thanks Trey!</em></p>

She has trained in the art of Belly Dance for more than ten years. Find out what Feanix has been up to in the interview below with questions by <a href="http://twitter.com/CrashDisaster" target=_blank>Crash</a>, <a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>, and myself&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix1.jpg" rel="lightbox[469]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix1.jpg" alt="" title="feanix1" width="340" height="457" class="alignright size-full wp-image-470" /></a><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/CrashDisaster" target=_blank>Crash</a>: Who in the field of paranormal research would you most like to sit down with and get to learn from?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Dave Tango, I met him briefly and he and Steve were super nice. I would love to pick their brains…sorry that was 2. XD</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/CrashDisaster" target=_blank>Crash</a>: When will you next be gracing a stage with your presence for a show?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Looks like the next big show is June 11 for the Dance Concert. : )</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/CrashDisaster" target=_blank>Crash</a>: What has been the most life changing experience so far in the realm of dance and your investigation into the paranormal?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> For Dance, is when I first took a big stage and got a standing ovation.</p>
<p>For Paranormal, is probably when I saw my grandmother standing in my bedroom weeks after she passed. I was so intrigued.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix3.jpg" rel="lightbox[469]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix3.jpg" alt="" title="feanix3" width="340" height="510" class="alignright size-full wp-image-472" /></a><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/CrashDisaster" target=_blank>Crash</a>: Where can people go to see your modeling work?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> I have some on my <a href="http://www.feanixfire.com" target=_blank>feanixfire.com</a> page but the majority are on my model Mayhem and ModelURL which are linked from my website.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You have a new venture <a href="http://www.poijax.com/" target=_blank>P.O.I. Jax</a>, tell us about that?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Paranormal Outcast Investigations was created in order to research others that are having paranormal experiences. We are all fully equipped and willing to check out any and all strange phenomena from ghosts to bigfoot to UFO’s. We are all eager to catch some tangible evidence on tape. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: Have you always been interested in the paranormal? Was their a certain experience in your life that reinforced that belief?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Well, when I was younger I had an experience with some ‘thing’ outside my window, it stuck with me to adult life and through the years I experienced other things like voices, being touched, seeing dead relatives and so on. I thought I was crazy until I saw others who had the same experiences. After talking with friends over drinks P.O.I. was born and we have been going strong ever since.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What would be your dream location to investigate?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Some are actually falling into our laps, like Sloss Furnace and The Stanley Hotel. My hope is to hit Waverly Hills and the institution in Penn state as well. I love the creepy old hospitals and I want to go to as many as I can. : ) </p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix4.jpg" rel="lightbox[469]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix4.jpg" alt="" title="feanix4" width="340" height="453" class="alignright size-full wp-image-473" /></a><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What has been your scariest experience so far?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Scariest was being kicked down the stairs while carrying equipment. I literally said &#8220;don’t mess with me&#8221; and I felt a swift kick to me leg behind my knees that threw me forward…luckily I was almost to the bottom so I didn’t get hurt too bad.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What has been the location with the most paranormal activity?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> A residential home here in town has had a lot of activity, even to the effect of our crew member going out cold and weighing tons. We threw her into the dirt to ‘ground’ her and the earth shook outward like a small blast had taken place. Others had experiences of being touched, we caught EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) and caught a decoration being pulled off the ceiling on video.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What locations are you looking forward to that are on your agenda?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Sloss Furnace with the Ghost Hunters and then Stanley Hotel for my birthday.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: Last year you coordinated the Jacksonville Zombie Walk, will you be doing that again? How was that experience?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> The last experience was great! I would love to do it again but my schedule is so tight these days.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix2.jpg" rel="lightbox[469]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/feanix2.jpg" alt="" title="feanix2" width="340" height="511" class="alignright size-full wp-image-474" /></a><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You are an accomplished Tribal fusion Belly Dancer, how has that been going?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> It has been going great! I have a new troupe of ladies that are amazing and our groove is awesome. I am hoping to meet up with local dancers and set up a festival of arts.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You also model, any new projects on that front?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> Just finished a video shoot for Marion Crane and a shoot for P.O.I. as well (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isjev_YhwgU" target=_blank>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isjev_YhwgU</a>) Have a post apocalyptic shoot coming up in the next few weeks.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: Has anything weird ever happened at a Belly Dancing event?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> I tend to deflect all negativity while dancing but I did have an experience where I was walking to the stage and I heard &#8220;Feanix, go get em girl&#8221; but nobody was around. I just smiled and took the stage.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: Have you taught or thought of teaching Belly Dancing? What about through online live video or through instructional videos?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> I teach every Wednesday but may be branching off into online as well soon…if the demand is high.</p>
<p><object width="340" height="285"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iaaOdPalFYA?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iaaOdPalFYA?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" align="right" width="340" height="285" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object><strong><a href="http://officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: Is there a particular person that you would like to Belly Dance for or who you&#8217;d want to go on a Paranormal investigation with?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/dancers/christy-feanix-poole.php" target=_blank>Feanix</a>:</strong> I would love to dance with/for The Indigo (Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Mardi Love) they are my inspiration.</p>
<p>For Paranormal, I would love to go with Ghost Hunters to some crazy place…</p>
<p><em>Thanks Feanix! </em></p>

<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> I always wanted to be an actor.  When I was little we lived in a small town and I just so happened to be good at gymnastics.  In my mind, it was an avenue that could lead to the big city.  I was a very precocious child!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You&#8217;ve done just about every genre of TV/movies possible, is there one that you haven&#8217;t tried yet that you would like to? What is your favorite?</strong></p>

<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> Thank you!  That was the most amazing learning experience for me as an actor and as a person.  John and Jane taught me how serious it is to be funny!  I learned a great work ethic, made lifelong friendships and got paid to learn my chops on an Emmy winning show.  It doesn&#8217;t get much more lucky than that.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What has been your favorite character that you&#8217;ve played and why?</strong></p>
<div id="attachment_463" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 350px"><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/red-faction-origins-20110506070245682_640w.jpg" rel="lightbox[460]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-463" title="red-faction-origins-20110506070245682_640w" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/red-faction-origins-20110506070245682_640w-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="226" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text"> RED FACTION: ORIGINS -- Syfy Original Movie -- Pictured: (l-r) Danielle Nicolet as Tess De La Vega, Brian J. <p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> Hands down, my favorite character to play has been Tess in Red Faction.  She is such a fish out of water!  Mostly I loved her for being unabashedly herself.  She is smart, humorous and quirky.  Those are really attractive qualities to me.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: You are in &#8220;Knuckle Draggers&#8217; with one of my favorite people, Paul J. Alessi, what was it like working with him?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> One of my favorite people too!!!  I love that man!  He is a blast to work with.  Doing that movie was a lot like being at summer camp with a bunch a friends.  We stayed up all night, had a bunch a laughs and played games.  Somewhere in the middle we stopped to make a really good movie.  Let me tell you, Paul is as funny in real life as he is in Knuckle Draggers.  I will always love those tangents he goes on!</p>
<div id="attachment_464" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 350px"><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/red-faction-origins2.jpg" rel="lightbox[460]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-464 " title="red-faction-origins2" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/red-faction-origins2-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="226" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Danielle Nicolet as Tess De La Vega • Red Faction:Origins • SYFY</p></div>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>:    I&#8217;m very anxious to see &#8220;Knuckle Draggers&#8221;, tell us about your character in the movie? Do you think the movie realistically portrays relationships between men and women?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> In Knuckle Draggers I play, Renee, the somewhat disaffected wife of Omar Gooding.  She&#8217;s part of a group of tight knit friends, who are all in their own stage of relationship disfunction.  I think that the reason the movie works and is so entertaining is because it really does reflect real relationships.  Paul Alessi&#8217;s character has the burden of being the mouthpiece (loudmouth piece, my character would say!), but what makes you so mad at him is the fact that a lot of what he says is true!  Even if he says it in an obnoxious way&#8230;</p>
<div id="attachment_465" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 350px"><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/red-faction-origins.jpg" rel="lightbox[460]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-465" title="red-faction-origins" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/red-faction-origins-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="226" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Red Faction Soldiers</p></div>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>:    You are starring in the new SyFy movie &#8220;Red Faction: Origins&#8221;, you have done some work in this genre before, are you a fan of it?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> I am a super fan of science fiction.  I was giddy when I got this job! I watch a lot of shows on SyFy and I have seen every episode of Battlestar!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: Your character Tess De LaVega is the sidekick to Jake Mason and considered the &#8220;smart one&#8221; since she was born on Earth, what else can you tell us about her?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> I can tell you that Tess is always the one informing people that she&#8217;s the smart one!  She is best suited behind a computer screen, but ends up reluctantly attempting to save the planet along the hero, Jake Mason (Brian J. Smith).</p>
<div id="attachment_466" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 350px"><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/IMG_0021.jpg" rel="lightbox[460]"><img class="size-full wp-image-466" title="IMG_0021" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/IMG_0021.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="227" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Danielle Nicolet</p></div>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What drew you to this role? Was it a physically demanding role?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> I loved the writing from the very first page.  All little girls wanted to be Princess Lea and be chased around an enemy ship, and be rescued by a handsome hero. (At least I did!)  Fortunately for me (at 5 feet!) I didn&#8217;t have to do too much of the hard stuff.  It was physically demanding in the sense that the weather and location conditions were harsh, but that really lent itself to Mars.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: It&#8217;s the first time that a movie and video game are being released at the same time, are you a fan of video games?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> I am a big fan of video games! I play often, and even voice characters on them sometimes!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target="_blank">Mandy</a>: What would be your dream project?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actresses/danielle-nicolet.php" target="_blank">Danielle:</a></strong> I would love to spend more time with the Red Faction family, or do another project with my pals from Knuckle Draggers.  See if we can&#8217;t make magic twice!</p>

Frederic Doss, in the comedy Coyote County Loser as Lyle Granger, the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie and many more upcoming films. I figured it was time to cover Frederic&#8217;s latest with the following interview by myself (Wendy) and my friend Mandy&#8230; </em></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target=_blank>Mandy</a>: Were you a fan of the original G.I Joe cartoon/action figures/ comics?</strong></p>
<p><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/frederic-doss-2011-b.jpg" alt="" title="frederic-doss-2011-b" width="340" height="389" class="alignright size-full wp-image-451" /><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> I was a huge fan! I had so many figures. That&#8217;s mostly what my friends and I did when I was a kid. We played GI Joe, Dungeons and Dragons and killed each other with sticks and toy guns.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target=_blank>Mandy</a>: If you could play anyone character besides your own in the G.I. Joe movies, who would it be and why?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> Well, I could easily step into Wild Bill from my role in the last film. He was a GI Joe Apache pilot. But, if I could pick a character it would be Chuckles. He&#8217;s the CIA, Hawaiian shirt wearing crazy guy. In the movie, he actually picks a missile up off one of the Joe vehicles and throws it at Cobra. Totally crazy.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target=_blank>Mandy</a>: What would be your dream role? </strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> That&#8217;s a hard question. I suppose I&#8217;d love to play a super hero in one of the big films or land a great role on a sci fi series that becomes the next &#8220;LOST&#8221; or &#8220;Firefly&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://twitter.com/mandy302" target=_blank>Mandy</a>: Who is your favorite actor/actress to watch on screen?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> So many favorites. But if you&#8217;re asking favorite to watch, it&#8217;s John Cusack. He&#8217;s such a character in his own right you just love the guy even when his movies suck, you love him.</p>
<p><object width="340" height="223"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HTU4r0cgY6k?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" align="right"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HTU4r0cgY6k?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="340" height="223" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" align="right"></embed></object><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> Let&#8217;s talk about the short film you did. How did you get involved in &#8220;Hank &#038; Jim&#8221;? And I&#8217;m curious, did you bust up laughing during the KIDS FATH Camp scene (&#8220;Twinkie munching..&#8221;)?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> Ha! Hi Jamey! Brandon Slagle and I concocted the idea on facebook chat one night. He was going to be in town for Texas Frightmare Weekend last year and we had never done a film together. We planned it, had my wife write it and Samuel Haun directed. Had a blast with that one. Would love to do a feature one day. Our funny moment during the fat camp scene was that I accidentally said Twinkie MUNKIN instead of munching. Everyone had a solid laugh. We almost made shirts, but it wasn&#8217;t funny to anyone who wasn&#8217;t there.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/frederic-doss-2011-d.jpg" rel="lightbox[448]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/frederic-doss-2011-d.jpg" alt="" title="frederic-doss-2011-d" width="340" height="301" class="alignright size-full wp-image-454" /></a><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> How about the small horror movie CUT? I see you have the title of Deputy again in this one. I saw the really risque trailer. When will the film be finished? </strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> Last I heard &#8220;CUT!&#8221; was showing at Cannes. The film is complete. I&#8217;m not sure on when it will be available to the masses. It&#8217;s a crazy flick. I once again play a deputy with some very cool scenes. It&#8217;s not a huge role for me, but horror fans will also want to check it out for Kane Hodder, Tony Todd and Michael Berryman. Had a blast shooting this one with Joe Hollow, Wolfgang Meyer and the gang up in New York. </p>
<p>CUT seems a bit gory.. reminded me a bit of the gore from &#8220;Gangs of New York &#8220;.. did you see that movie? I think it loses some of it&#8217;s audience due to extreme violence and gory details. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> CUT! is not for the feint of heart. Definitely some vicious stuff in there.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/frederic-doss-2011-c.jpg" alt="" title="frederic-doss-2011-c" width="340" height="503" class="alignright size-full wp-image-452" /><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> In Humans Versus Zombies, you have a big role in this feature film. While watching the trailer, it seemed a bit like the now famous Walking Dead television series. What is different about this story? And did you have any nightmares about zombies after filming each day? <img src='http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> As for HvZ, I was nightmare free. Some of the scenes were really terrifying. I had to remind myself it wasn&#8217;t real. Michael Jaynes did an amazing job with the make-up and our zombies were amazing! It&#8217;s a lot different from &#8220;The Walking Dead&#8221; in the characters and situations it portrays. It&#8217;s also a bit more light hearted, but not so much so as to be on a level with Zombieland or Shaun of the Dead. It&#8217;s definitely a zombie film all to its own. For the record, I am a huge fan of &#8220;The Walking Dead&#8221;. I have all the trades and was so excited to hear they were doing a show. It&#8217;s been a dream of mine since I was 13 to be in a zombie movie one day. Very cool. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> That&#8217;s interesting info about Humans Versus Zombies. : ) I understand you did a lot of work on this film and that it will possibly get released into theaters? Can you share any of the information about where this film is headed? Maybe there is even a sequel planned? </strong></p>
<p><object width="340" height="223"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xqNJPGdR_DI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xqNJPGdR_DI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="340" height="223" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" align="right"></embed></object><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> It should be out sometime this summer. Chiller network, DVD and limited theatrical. I don&#8217;t have a lot more info. As for a sequel, that would rock.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> What&#8217;s the word on the small budget film CODE OF EVIL? I haven&#8217;t seen a trailer for it yet. What part do you play in the film?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> It&#8217;s from Kerry Beyer, the guy who brought you &#8220;Spirit Camp&#8221;, a cheerleader slasher film. It&#8217;s a lot of blue screen work. Should be fun. I play a supporting role in that one.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> I see you and Brandon Slagle have teamed up again for the film &#8220;The Avenged&#8221; where you play the role of CSI Elliot Morris. Is this a feature film? What&#8217;s this film about? Did you have to do any special research into being a CSI character?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> The film hasn&#8217;t begun official production yet and my role isn&#8217;t nailed down per se.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/frederic-doss-2011-e.jpg" alt="" title="frederic-doss-2011-e" width="340" height="216" class="alignright size-full wp-image-455" /><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> I understand that the film &#8220;Boggy Creek&#8221; was screened at the Texas Frightmare Weekend event. How did that go? Was that your first convention? I know you got to meet Sean Patrick Flanery there.. what other favorite actors/etc. did you get to meet?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> It didn&#8217;t show due to technical difficulties. I had attended TFW last year and I&#8217;ve been to a few others as an attendee, mostly in Dallas. There are a lot of cool conventions here. Norman Reedus was cool. Jason Eisner, the director of &#8220;Hobo With a Shotgun&#8221; was there and I got to meet him. Also talked with a lot of cool indy folks. Plans in the works.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> Seems there&#8217;s one more film we need to mention you&#8217;ve worked on named Nebulus, which is the latest project you are working on with Brandon Slagle. Where is Nebulus at in the development stage?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> I&#8217;m not sure if the script is done yet. Conceptual as far as I know, but from what I&#8217;ve heard, it&#8217;s going to be very cool.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/frederic-doss-2011-g.jpg" alt="" title="frederic-doss-2011-g" width="340" height="395" class="alignright size-full wp-image-456" /><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> You and Brandon seem to work on a lot of projects together. I&#8217;m curious, how far apart from each other do you live? Would you work on every project together that you can?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> Slagle moves around a bit. He&#8217;s been in LA and NY most recently, but he has a few ties to Texas. Right now he&#8217;s in LA and he&#8217;s a very good friend of mine. We have a blast working together and I&#8217;d do it every chance I got.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> One last thing I&#8217;d like to mention: you&#8217;ve been blogging quite a bit&#8230; when/why did you decide you would set yourself a schedule to blog about your acting career?</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/frederic_doss.php" target=_blank>Frederic Doss:</a></strong> My wife kept telling me I should blog. I debated film reviews, but I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s wise for an actor to be critiquing a lot of films openly. I decided to write about acting and share some of my knowledge, but you can only post on the art so much without being repetitive. I post about acting when something strikes me.</p>
<p>Most recently, I decided that every day for a year, I would post a new film that people may not have heard of, but should see. It&#8217;s a lot of obscure/semi-obscure films. Some are shorts, some are net based, some are low budget indy, some are documentaries. All genres from all over the world. It&#8217;s been really fun. I first interviewed him back in 2006, which you can view <a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/2006/12/interview-with-jonathan-clay-singer-songwriter-musician/" target=_blank>here</a>. I love listening to his music and wanted to make sure to catch up with him about his latest projects. </em></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> Wow, can you believe the last time I interviewed you was back in 2006? I&#8217;m pretty proud of the way you&#8217;ve grown in your music career and you sound greater than ever! Music seems to be in your heart and soul and I know you love to share it with people.</strong></p>
<p>When we talked back then, you mentioned that you did all of your own promotion and staying in touch with fans. Do you still do it all yourself? How long to you think you&#8217;ll be able to keep doing it?</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/12b.jpg" rel="lightbox[440]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/12b.jpg" alt="" title="12b" width="340" height="440" class="alignright size-full wp-image-444" /></a><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> Yes, I still do most all of it myself, with a little help from a dear friend of mine. When I&#8217;m out on the road, there&#8217;s just no possible way I can keep up with it all so I&#8217;m very fortunate to have someone I trust to help me manage everything. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> It&#8217;s not just MySpace anymore, like it was back in 2006, now there&#8217;s Twitter, Facebook and more to keep up with. Which social network seems to be the best or most active for you and your music?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> I think each site has it&#8217;s own strength and weakness. I think the key now is just staying diversified, and keeping up with the changing trends. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> You had a second album come out since we last talked, and it has a wonderful sound. How has it been received compared to the first one? Or is it sort of a tie? What were some highlights?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> It&#8217;s been a growing process for me. I&#8217;ve learned alot about myself as a songwriter. I don&#8217;t think that album was necessarily a defining one for me, but I do believe it was a necessary stepping stone. I would say that it was well received, but my focus is now on what I want to say next. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> Since your two albums have been released, your music can be found in many places. What has been the most successful outlet for sales?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> Most definitely iTunes. By a landslide. </p>
<p><img style="visibility:hidden;width:0px;height:0px;" border=0 width=0 height=0 src="http://c.gigcount.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEzMDM5NjY5MjkyMDYmcHQ9MTMwMzk2NjkzNzQyOSZwPTI3MDgxJmQ9cHJvX3BsYXllcl9maXJzdF9nZW4mZz*xJm89/ZGVkZjgzOTI5ZjZjNGQ1ZThiYTAxY2IyMTE5MWQ5ZmEmb2Y9MA==.gif" /><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" align="right" width="340" height="300"><param name="movie" value="http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/swf/40/pro_widget.swf?id=artist_2994&#038;posted_by=&#038;skin_id=PWAS1008&#038;font_color=333333&#038;auto_play=false&#038;shuffle=false"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><param name="allowNetworking" value="all"></param><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="quality" value="best"></param><embed src="http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/swf/40/pro_widget.swf?id=artist_2994&#038;posted_by=&#038;skin_id=PWAS1008&#038;font_color=333333&#038;auto_play=false&#038;shuffle=false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowNetworking="all" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" quality="best" width="340" height="300"></embed></object><br/><img style="visibility:hidden;width:0px;height:0px;" align="right" border=0 width=0 height=0 src="http://www.reverbnation.com/widgets/trk/40/artist_2994//t.gif" /><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> Where else might people have heard or can hear your music..what television, movies, etc.?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> Sons of Anarchy, Grey&#8217;s Anatomy, and an upcoming movie titled LOL are a few of the recent big placements I&#8217;ve been fortunate enough to garner. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> Do you have any desires to appear on a television series or in a movie?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> I don&#8217;t believe so. All I know is that I love making music. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> When you came out with your second album, you changed your appearance. Do you expect to constantly change your &#8216;look&#8217; for each project you work on?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> I don&#8217;t think its exactly something I make a conscious decision to do. It&#8217;s hard to say how I&#8217;ll be wearing my hair a year from now, but I won&#8217;t be revolving it around any kind of album release. It revolves more around my itch for a change. </p>
<p><object width="340" height="223" align="right"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EOxPKgLMa6M?fs=1&#038;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EOxPKgLMa6M?fs=1&#038;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" align="right" width="340" height="223" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> You have a fairly new project you started with a long-time friend of yours called the <a href="http://www.jamestownrevival.com" target=_blank>Jamestown Revival</a>. What was Zach Chance doing prior to joining you and how did you both come up with the name?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> Zach had a solo career as well. He had not been doing it as long as I had, but he had already managed to make a good bit of noise. We came up with the name on a back porch in the middle of a thousand acres after a conversation about a longing for a simpler time&#8230;</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> I saw your exciting news of the Jamestown Revival getting selected for the Rolling Stone Cover Contest. How did that happen? Looked like you might make it to Round 2.</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> Someone put Jamestown Revival in front of them and they thought we would add an interesting element to the competition. We didn&#8217;t end up making it to round two, but the exposure was amazing, and we&#8217;re just grateful for the opportunity. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/4b.jpg" rel="lightbox[440]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/4b.jpg" alt="" title="4b" width="340" height="440" class="alignright size-full wp-image-443" /></a><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> You were doing a tour where you&#8217;d visit people in their homes for an in-house concert; are you still doing that type of thing? Do yo have a funny or bizarre story from one of your in-house shows?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> Luckily, we never ran in to any bizarre situations, and we&#8217;ve got some really cool fans. We are trying to move back towards venue shows at this point, but i think house shows are something we&#8217;ll always do from time to time. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> When and where will you be starting the Jamestown Revival tour? </strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/music/jonathan_clay.php" target=_blank>Jonathan Clay:</a> Our next tour will start late May out of California. </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target=_blank>Wendy:</a> I&#8217;m know we&#8217;ll have to talk again in the future as things progress! Thanks for taking time out for those who love your music, including me!</strong></p>

What some people don&#8217;t know is that Norman is also a multi-talented filmmaker, cinematographer, photographer and artist.</p>
<p><strong><em>3Films</em></strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/norman-3-films.jpg" rel="lightbox[421]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/norman-3-films.jpg" alt="" title="norman-3-films" width="340" height="204" class="alignright size-full wp-image-423" /></a>Norman has been extremely busy with filming projects, but even during his hectic schedule, he showed his big heart again during the recent tragic Japan crisis. He put a message out saying he would give all profits from his own <em>3Films</em> during a certain amount of time towards charity to help with relief. His awesome fans helped to spread the word. In the end he ended up raising $2,000 to donate. Charity of choice: <a href="http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org" target=_blank>Doctors without Borders</a>.</p>
<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time Norman made this offer and raised funds for charity. Before the Japan disaster, he sent out a similar message to raise funds for Haiti when it was also struck by a devastating earthquake. Sales from his <em>3Films</em> reached $2,500 for donation.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s interesting to note that <em>3Films</em> was produced through Norman&#8217;s production company called <a href="http://www.bigbaldhead.com" target=_blank><em>Big Bald Head</em></a>. He wrote and directed the three short films titled &#8220;The Rub&#8221;, &#8220;I Thought Of You&#8221; and &#8220;A Filthy Little Fruit&#8221;. </p>
<p><object width="340" height="216" ><param name="movie" value="http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/33682"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/33682" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="340" height="216" align="right" vspace="2"></embed></object>I mentioned earlier in this message how Norman has a busy filming schedule and below I&#8217;ll cover these latest projects: </p>
<p><strong><em>The Conspirator</em></strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/norman-lewis-payneb.jpg" rel="lightbox[421]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/norman-lewis-payneb.jpg" alt="" title="norman-lewis-payneb" width="340" height="203" class="alignright size-full wp-image-431" /></a><a href="http://www.conspiratorthemovie.com/" target=_blank>The Conspirator</a></em> is a Robert Redford movie that arrived in theaters on April 15, 2011. It&#8217;s a rich history story about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1865. Seven men and one woman were arrested and charged with conspiring to kill the President, the Vice-President, and the Secretary of State. </p>
<p>Norman plays the role of Lewis Payne who was an employee of Ford&#8217;s Theater and ended up being convicted of conspiracy after he attempted to murder the Secretary of State William H. Seward. Isn&#8217;t it amazing how much Norman looks like Lewis?!</p>
<p>This film opened with great box office results, so make sure to check it out while it&#8217;s in theaters. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/facebook.com-2011-4-4-23-17-32b.png" rel="lightbox[421]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/facebook.com-2011-4-4-23-17-32b.png" alt="" title="facebook.com 2011-4-4 23-17-32b" width="340" height="261" class="alignright size-full wp-image-432" /></a><strong><em>Hello Herman </em></strong></p>
<p>Norman will appear as the character Lax Morales in the upcoming &#8220;Hello Herman&#8221; movie. Lax is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who runs an online video blog. </p>
<p>After killing students and teachers at a suburban school in Iowa, Herman emails clips of the incident that he filmed to his idol, Lax, trying to convince him to cover the story. </p>
<p><object width="340" height="221"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aAWpkZSCMXU?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aAWpkZSCMXU?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="340" height="221" align="right"></embed></object><strong><em>Lady Gaga Music Video</em></strong></p>
<p>A new music video being released over the upcoming Easter weekend called &#8220;Judas&#8221;. Lady Gaga will play Mary Magdalene and Norman will be appearing as Judas. </p>
<p>The song has recently been released online. You can listen to the song in the right hand column.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/norman-daryle.jpg" rel="lightbox[421]"><img src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/norman-daryle.jpg" alt="" title="norman-daryle" width="340" height="243" class="alignright size-full wp-image-433" /></a><strong><em>The Walking Dead</em></strong></p>
<p>Norman started to show up in the role of Daryl Dixon (brother to Meryl Dixon) during episode three of the first season of The Golden Globe nominated television show The Walking Dead. Daryl is a cross-bow toting squirrelly character that gained in popularity over the course of the rest of the season. He pulled some of the best zombie killing moves!</p>
<p>Norman will be filming the second season of The Walking Dead which will premiere in October. There were six episodes during the first season, but there will be thirteen episodes for the second season. </p>

<p>Sean has been pretty busy with some fun projects, so I felt it was time to do an interview with him &#8230;</p>

<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: You were involved in a couple of high profile videos lately; <a href="http://www.funnyordie.com" target="_blank">FunnyorDie</a>&#8216;s St. Patrick&#8217;s Day <em>GREEN BEER BREWERY</em> comedy video and <a href="http://www.theblackkeys.com" target="_blank"><em>The Black Keys</em></a> <em>HOWLIN’ FOR YOU</em> music video dressed up to look like a movie trailer. How did you get involved with them? Did you have any part in writing the video dialog?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/sean_patrick_flanery.php" target="_blank">Sean Patrick Flanery</a>: No, Funny or Die contacted me and asked if I would like to be a part of their St. Patrick&#8217;s Day sketch and I said &#8220;of course&#8221;. Same with the Black Keys. They just asked. I had a BALL on both..!!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/sean-patrick-flanery-1b.jpg" rel="lightbox[413]"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-416" title="sean-patrick-flanery-1b" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/sean-patrick-flanery-1b.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="241" /></a><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: You&#8217;ve been doing a lot of different <a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/2010/12/events-with-sean-patrick-flanery-norman-reedus-and-david-della-rocco/" target="_blank">conventions and events</a>, which seem like they have their own culture. How important do you think it is for an actor to attend events like the Comic &amp; Horror conventions?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/sean_patrick_flanery.php" target="_blank">Sean Patrick Flanery</a>: I think it&#8217;s a great opportunity for the people to see that you&#8217;re just a regular guy. I find it wonderful to meet the fans. I have yet to not have a wonderful experience.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: You&#8217;ll be a part of the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.tvguide.com/News/Flanery-Young-Restless-1030481.aspx" target="_blank"><em>Young and the Restless</em></a> daytime TV show starting April 18th. What drew you to the character of the &#8220;salt o&#8217; the earth country veterinarian named Sam&#8221;? Will your sweet dog Donut have a role on the show? </strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/sean-patrick-flanery-2b.jpg" rel="lightbox[413]"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-417" title="sean-patrick-flanery-2b" src="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/sean-patrick-flanery-2b.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="454" /></a><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/sean_patrick_flanery.php" target="_blank">Sean Patrick Flanery</a>: The character seems logical and down to earth, of average means. Sort of a departure from normal &#8220;filthy rich&#8221; characters. I certainly HOPE if a dog is on the show it will be Donut.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: You told me about a mini-series called <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1865640/fullcredits#cast" target="_blank"><em>Blackout</em></a> that you&#8217;ll be filming simultaneously right now (with James Brolin, Anne Heche, Billy Zane, Eric LaSalle). What is the series about and when will it air? Can you tell me about your character Frank Strickland?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/sean_patrick_flanery.php" target="_blank">Sean Patrick Flanery</a>: It is about cyber terrorism in LA and the entire electrical grid is shut down. SO&#8230;.. everything is shot at night. That means working from 7pm to 7am..!!! <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000981/" target="_blank">James Brolin</a> is cool as balls..!!!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: What is something of value that you&#8217;ve learned about lately?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/sean_patrick_flanery.php" target="_blank">Sean Patrick Flanery</a>: That the growth on Donut&#8217;s belly is benign..!!!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: Oh my goodness! She is such a sweetie, so glad to know it&#8217;s benign!! </strong></p>
<p><strong>*Who has inspired you recently?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/sean_patrick_flanery.php" target="_blank">Sean Patrick Flanery</a>: My parents. Everyday.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: You have your own martial arts academy called <a href="http://www.hollywoodbjj.com" target="_blank">Hollywood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu</a> and I&#8217;ve noticed the instructional videos you&#8217;ve been filming. How did you get involved in the <a href="http://www.sherdog.com" target="_blank"><em>Sherdog</em></a> BJJ training videos? Do you still find people are shocked that you are into martial arts (besides acting) and where can the best pizza be found?!? : )</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/sean_patrick_flanery.php" target="_blank">Sean Patrick Flanery</a>: They just asked me and I was happy to do the videos. Yes, people are shocked when they hear you have time for a 2nd passion. The best pizza in LA, without question, is at Madeo.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/entertainment/wendy-shepherd.php" target="_blank">Wendy</a>: </strong>Thanks Sean! I hope everyone learned a lot about your latest endeavors. See below to see the BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) training videos&#8230; the last one is what prompted the question about the pizza! <img src='http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/news/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>*NOTE: Sean has a new movie called<em> In/Sight </em>that will be showing at the Newport Beach Film Festival on April 30 &amp; May 5. <strong><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=F8IXBv5Ptfk" target="_blank">Trailer</a> | <a href="http://newportbeach.slated.com/2011/films/insight_richardgabai_newportbeach2011" target="_blank">Photos &amp; Tickets</a></strong></p>
