Officially Plugged In’s Brian Mahoney. (BDS 1 & 2) is known as Detective Duffy in BDS 1 & 2. Fans have really enjoyed many of this lines from the cult movie over the years. In addition to these movies, Brian also participated with part of the BDS 10th Anniversary Tour across the U.S.

I invited several fans to send in questions for Brian to answer, so please enjoy the Q&A interview below…

Feanix aka @Feanix (Twitter) asks: What inspired you to get into acting?

Brian: Hey Feanix how are ya:) Before I was 10 yrs old I was awestruck by movies and actors like Kirk Douglas and Robert Mitchum. I knew I wanted to be a part of that awesomeness someday.

Feanix aka @Feanix (Twitter) asks: Many people are “changed” when they become famous; do you feel

that you have done the same?

Brian: Yes, I am only half famous but a complete ass now.

Feanix aka @Feanix (Twitter) asks: What have you learned since joining the acting community?

Brian: I’ve learned how complicated and nuanced some acting techniques can be…

Feanix aka @Feanix (Twitter) asks: What is your dream role?

Brian: Don’t know but pretty sure it involves Scarlett Johansson or Jennifer Connelly…

Feanix aka @Feanix (Twitter) asks: If you could sum up your acting experience in one word, what would it be?

Brian: “Adreneline”

Jessica aka @jade_kadir (Twitter) asks: Have you ever been interested in other aspects of the industry

besides acting, like writing, directing or producing? And if so, what projects would you love to work on?

Brian: Hey Jade;) I like writing but I will need much more experience before I would consider directing or producing…

Kana aka @froggygreen09 (Twitter) asks: What is it that you were most interested in during the filming of “BDSII”?

Brian: Working with Willem Dafoe during the day and hanging with Bob Marley and the boys at night… On the second film it was working with the Brothers during the day then dinner at Gretzkys with Bob and the boys at night.

Kana aka @froggygreen09 (Twitter) asks: How do you feel now that Detective Greenly has gone? (I was in shock.)

Brian: I am still in shock.

Mandy aka @Mandy302 (Twitter) asks: What about the original script drew you to the role of Detective

Duffy? Did you originally audition for Duffy or did you audition for another role and Troy just say, Nope, You’re Duffy?

Brian: Hey Mandy! Good questions….I had the script for BDS1 for many months before my audition. I loved its structure and there was a huge industry buzz about the project. I had memorized all 8 cop roles not knowing which part I would be called in for if any…but I wanted the role of Duffy and when I did meet Troy I told him so. He read me for all the detective roles before calling me 4 long weeks later, telling me I had the role of Detective Duffy. It was a big moment for me.

Mandy aka @Mandy302 (Twitter) asks: If you could work with any one director, living or dead, who would

it be and what type if movie would it be i.e drama, comedy, etc.

Brian: Other than Troy, Clint Eastwood in a western would be pretty high on my wish list…Tom Hanks in a comedy…Luc Besson in an action drama…too hard to pick just one live director and the dead ones would be too distracted by the new Iphone….

Mandy aka @Mandy302 (Twitter) asks: What would you like to see happen in BDS III?

Brian: I would love to return for BDS III and work with Willem Dafoe once again….
