Big Love Letter to LIONSGATE for Casting Sean Patrick Flanery in SAW 7 3D

With the SAW 7 3D movie looking to freak people out in theaters this month, one of the cast members has friends & fans that want to send a group of messages as a big type of a love letter to LIONSGATE and the creators of this next and last film in the SAW franchise. Officially Plugged In’s Sean Patrick Flanery is a dynamic actor and martial artist who has many people (including me) that want to see more of his acting performance on television and in films. I know Sean is excited and proud to be a part of this film.

Everyone was also super excited when the unveiling of the new character website happened today for Sean’s character Bobby Dagen (see website/video clip here)

My name is Jenn Monteleone. I am a HUGE fan of Sean Patrick Flanery. He has been in some pretty spectacular movies, and played some great characters, but I believe casting him in SAW was an excellent choice on your part!! I probably would have waited for Saw 3D to be released on DVD to see it. That was until I learned that Sean Patrick Flanery was cast to star in it. I had the opportunity to meet him at Monster Mania 16 recently. He is an amazingly nice guy with a great sense of humor. The amount of time he devoted to meeting his fans was quite impressive. I have always been a fan of the Saw series which says a lot because I am not big into horror movies but what I like about Saw is that its not just blood and guts, it makes you think. The time has finally arrived for SAW 3D. I have been waiting months in anticipation for this last addition to SAW. I commend you on bringing Sean Patrick Flanery in to lead the cast of Jigsaw survivors on a 3D journey of what is sure to be the best of the SAW series. Sean is an incredibly talented actor who is always able to hold his own. I know that he will be an invaluable addition to the long list of SAW actors who have portrayed such memorable characters.

Marcus and Patrick are geniuses in taking the characters to the brink and dragging the audience along with them. The audience even at times emphasize with a serial killer rather than the victims. However, this time around I’ll be rooting for Sean’s Bobby Dagen. As much as I hope Bobby makes it through the movie, I have a feeling his worst fears are about to come true. And, we get to watch it all unfold in 3D nonetheless.

I had the pleasure to be a part of the video footage for last year’s SAW maze at Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. Walking through the maze (still under construction and with everything lit) I found myself screaming at the shadows and that was before the cameras were rolling. SAW has brought a unique twist to the horror film genre. Instead of a random monster chasing us in the dark, it’s our own shortcomings which fuel the fear. I cannot wait to see Sean and the rest of the cast bring our worst nightmares to life.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves “It’s only a movie”.

The saw series has become somewhat of a cult classic. I remember seeing the very first one and knowing I was hooked. Since then it seems like a tradition around Halloween every year to release a new one. The plots seem more intense, the situations and characters draw in a lot of attention.
